Live music is an important part of Chapel Allerton Arts Centre, with a growing programme of events celebrating local talent, creativity and community.

Join us for acoustic evenings featuring local songwriters, open-deck nights for DJs of all levels, live jazz sessions and one-off music events throughout the year.

Every Sunday morning, you can relax with live jazz, free entry and great coffee, while our monthly Jazz Jam Session gives musicians the chance to come together for an open, improvisational session.

Whether you’re here to perform, discover new music, dance or simply listen, our programme offers a relaxed and welcoming way to enjoy live music at the centre.

    Pay As You Feel

    A monthly relaxed, live music night showcasing some of the best up and coming talent in Leeds and beyond.

    Join us in our fairy lit gallery space and soak up the rich acoustic sounds and vocals, enjoy a cold beer and meet a bunch of lovely people.

    EVERY THIRD FRIDAY
    7PM - 11PM

    Connect with fellow music lovers, show off your DJ skills, have a drink and enjoy the music vibe.

    WANT TO HAVE A SPIN?
    You may be a seasoned pro, a bedroom DJ or a 50-odd-year-old ex-raver having a midlife crisis… we don’t mind!

Live Jazz

Unwind on a Sunday morning to the dulcet sounds of live jazz at Jazz Leeds weekly workshops at Northlight. Fresh coffee, pastries, cakes and free entry into our cafe/ performance space awaits you every Sunday 10.30am -12.30pm.

Join us as a musician, a listener or someone who is just curious about Jazz music. Once a month we welcome local jazz musicians to Northlight for an improvised jam session playing well known jazz songs past and present. All styles and levels welcome – vocals and instrumentals.
