Northlight runs welcoming creative groups offering regular opportunities to make, connect and take part, with flexible pay-as-you-feel pricing.

Northlight’s wider creative programme includes life drawing, Art History, artist-led courses and workshops, talks, events and opportunities for artists.
What to Expect
Northlight’s community sessions are informal, friendly and participant-led. There is no pressure to produce finished work and no previous experience is required.
Some people arrive with a project in mind, while others simply come along to see where the session takes them. You’ll find materials to explore from our Northlight Community Art Trolley, opportunities to discover new techniques and plenty of encouragement from staff, volunteers and the other people taking part.
Whether you are feeling confident or haven’t picked up a paintbrush in years, you are welcome to join in at whatever level feels right for you.
Tea, coffee, cakes and snacks are available from the café within Chapel Allerton Arts Centre.
No booking is required for our regular community sessions — just drop in.
